AWARD FOR THE BEST CASA DECOR 2021 PROJECT. This is how we start the week at The Room Studio and we couldn’t be happier! Last Thursday 24th of June took place in Madrid the IX Casa Decor 2021 Decoration and Interior Design Awards, where a hundred professionals from the world of Interior Design, Architecture, Design and Art met. In this celebration presided over by the president of Casa Decor, Kersti Urvois, and its general director, Alicia García Cabrera, the success and dedication of all the participants was highlighted after the reopening of the Fair in times of pandemic.

After all these months of effort to create the perfect home working environment ‘Modern Times’ for GIRA, we have been awarded the Best Project Award 2021. Thanks to the excellent design of our creative directors –Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdomènech-, The Room Studio surprises again with this space inspired by teleworking at home. The Jury valued that <<it is a brilliantly resolved project, very balanced in terms of colours, materials and form. The harmony and coherence it exudes as a whole favour a particularly relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, which can be varied through different scenes controlled by Gira’s sophisticated home automation mechanisms. Queremos agradecer a todos aquellos que nos han apoyado desde el primer momento en toda esta experiencia única. Muchas gracias a todos los compañeros que hemos conocido y con quienes hemos podido aprender y compartir momentos durante esta nueva edición. Junto a ‘Modern Times’ hemos querido cambiar la manera de interpretar el día a día y hemos buscado el modo de plasmar en un espacio la esencia de The Room Studio. Un lugar que te hace sentir único y diferente, envolviéndote en una atmósfera que te permite vivir de manera sosegada y que te impulsa a crear. Ribé y Puigdoménech definen el espacio premiado como <<su proyecto más simple y, al mismo tiempo, el más complejo>>, debido a su apariencia minimalista pero al complejo trabajo artesanal que hay detrás de cada una de las piezas diseñadas. Gracias de nuevo a todos por hacerlo posible y gracias a Casa Decor por este enorme reconocimiento, y enhorabuena al resto de compañeros premiados.

We would like to thank all those who have supported us from the very beginning in this unique experience. Many thanks to all the colleagues we have met and with whom we have been able to learn and share moments during this new edition. Together with ‘Modern Times’ we wanted to change the way we interpret everyday life and we have sought to capture the essence of The Room Studio in a space. A place that makes you feel unique and different, enveloping you in an atmosphere that allows you to live in a calm way and encourages you to create.
