Tener espacios en casa destinados al descanso y desconexión es primordial. Lugares de paz donde podamos leer, escuchar música, relajarnos e incluso echarnos una siesta. Nosotros somos…
Having spaces at home dedicated to rest and disconnection is essential. They are places of peace where we can read, listen to music, relax, and even take a nap. We are great supporters of these kinds of ‘corners,’ as we call them, which align with the personalities of the homeowners and their hobbies.
We must distribute the space so that there are as few elements as possible—simply those with which we intend to enjoy that corner: books, musical instruments, movies, or just good company. Natural wood primarily becomes a key protagonist, interspersed with other materials that also add character to the scene.
Soft and light colors, such as pastels, provide a visual tranquility that extends to the rest of the body. We look for furniture with simple, organic lines, soft materials, gentle textures, and shapes that adapt to our ergonomics. We should choose pieces in which we feel embraced and, above all, comfortable.
To design these types of areas, it is best to choose dim lighting that encourages comfort. Complementing these spaces with floor lamps is always the best option; there is no need to clutter the environment with ceiling spotlights. We can also add light sources on dressers or sideboards to give the room a warmer atmosphere.
In this case, textile accessories become the highlight of the space: cushions, rugs, curtains, and blankets take over the area to make it more welcoming and intimate. Elements such as candle holders, candelabras, frames, plants, and books will help define the character of the environment and create an enveloping, relaxing climate.
At The Room Studio, we love creating these corners based on the homeowners’ hobbies, ensuring they become places that serve a special, relaxing purpose. We incorporate the style of each home into every space so that everything maintains a consistent dialogue and harmony.
To finish today’s post, we show you some inspiring images from projects we have carried out. Each one is different and versatile, tailored to the users for whom it is intended. We hope you enjoy it!
