Some homes are transformed.

Others simply reveal what they have always been.

This duplex is built around a search for balance. Between memory and the present. Between indoors and outdoors. Between the character of an architecture worth preserving and a way of living shaped by contemporary needs.

Here, the terraces are not an addition.

They are part of the home.

Light moves freely through the interiors and extends naturally towards the outside. Air circulates. Boundaries become softer. The house expands beyond its physical limits.

The project begins with a clear intention: preserve what gives the home its identity while allowing it to engage with a contemporary language.

Original fireplaces, parquet flooring and architectural details are carefully restored and brought back into focus. Not through nostalgia, but through respect. As elements that continue to have a place in everyday life.

The living areas open towards the terraces and establish a constant relationship with natural light. The dining room and living room gain a renewed sense of openness, while the fireplace reclaims its role as a focal point and gathering place.

At the centre of the home, the staircase takes on a quiet significance.

The double-height space connects both levels, introduces visual depth and allows daylight to accompany the vertical journey. Restored and reinterpreted, it becomes a gesture capable of linking past and present without relying on obvious contrasts.

The lower floor accommodates the more private areas. Connected to its own terrace, the primary suite becomes a calm retreat where wood, natural textiles and light create a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The children’s bedrooms follow the same approach: bright, functional spaces designed to support everyday life.

Above, the rhythm shifts.

A second living room connected to an open terrace offers a more relaxed and flexible way of inhabiting the home. A place designed for gathering, unwinding or simply letting time pass.

Nothing here seeks to dominate.

Everything seeks coexistence.

Original architecture and new interventions. The city and intimacy. Memory and evolution.

Because some projects transform a space.

Others achieve something more complex: allowing its essence to remain while everything else evolves.

[174
post-18284","proyecto","type-proyecto","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria-proyecto-interiorismo-de-lujo
