Trends: 5 spring favorites

30.04.2020

As it could not be missed, this week we bring you the selection of our spring favorites this year. Despite the special situation we are experiencing, we do not want to lose the tradition of sharing this long-awaited blog section with you all and giving you ideas to redecorate your homes.

At this time of year that we like so much, we have not been able to resist including these spectacular designs in our spaces. Let’s start!

1.- We will start our recommendations with a luminary that drives us crazy. This is the Setago model from the & Tradition brand. Influenced by the spanish word ‘Seta’, its design refers to the shape of the fungus and its tiny shape. It is a portable table lamp without charge, so we can freely move it anywhere. Additional design features include a discreet gold-plated dimmer and a graceful upward curve at the edge of the lamp shade. Furthermore, this design is suitable for both interior and exterior spaces.

2.- We continue with our favorites with the Bouclé armchair from Ferm Living. Belonging to the Rico series, this design welcomes curves and volumes in a classic design defined by smooth lines and an enveloping expression. In contrast to the robustness of the frame, the armchair has timeless yet comfortable upholstery in bouclé fabric, which is woven from uneven yarn to achieve the rich, wavy texture of the surface. The curvaceous nature of the series adds a modern union of comfort and elegance to any room and makes you drawn to its motherly embrace. It is spectacular and takes center stage in any space where it is placed.

3.- This design will continue to be our favorite also when it is the summer time. The Cala collection chair from the Kettal brand is a high-back armchair inspired by the iconic Emmanuelle. The light and transparent surfaces give it a majestic presence. The open rope weave works as a lattice effect, providing visual privacy while maintaining a connection to natural elements. Cala can be used for both dining and relaxing. The wide selection of metallic coverings, rope colors and cushion fabrics offers numerous possibilities to adapt the chair’s identity to different projects. Ideal for our outdoor dining rooms and corners to enjoy the outdoors.

4.- We can classify it as the funniest design in this selection. The Nanimarquina Silhouette collection rug can be used both indoors and outdoors, providing a casual touch to the environment. The drawing, with a delicate line, defines the silhouettes of various imaginary characters that intertwine and coexist in a beautiful composition. This proposal introduces the embroidery technique on kilim, which adds texture and a soft volume that emphasize the sinuousness of the drawing. Despite its delicate appearance, it is a resistant technique suitable for private and public use. We declare ourselves fans of this rug.

5.- Finally, the Gubi Atelier Capsule Collection could not be missed, offering an inspiring perspective on the brand’s well-known Beetle and Bat designs. They bring new customization ideas and new uses in any field. These dining chairs are upholstered in 30 different colors and finishes hand selected by Gubi Atelier. We have loved this new initiative to reinvent itself.

We hope you liked our top five for this season of the year. Take good care of yourself and your family and friends. We hope this situation improves soon, but in the meantime we will continue to be here for you at The Room Papers. Happy week!
