DIAGONAL HOUSE
Elegance and simplicity in a contemporary home
This house, located in the middle of Diagonal Avenue, Barcelona, and which measures 300 m2, underwent a comprehensive interior design, décor, and styling remodel. Open and functional areas were created and updated in this house that had previously lacked character.
The main requirement of the owners was to maintain the structure of the house while adapting it to their current needs. To this end, all the spaces were redistributed and restored, returning to the home to its original essence and soul. Both a home automation system and an audiovisual system were installed, including an independent music controller.
In the main area, three connected but separate areas were created. First, we find the living room area, where the original fireplace was conserved, giving it an updated and refined look. Next, we find the reading and music area, since the owners love to read and play the piano. The kitchen and dining area are separated by sliding glass doors, creating a sense of visual union between the two spaces.
A range of neutral and simple tones is used throughout the house. These colors are present in the materials used, which include microcement for the kitchens and the bathroom. The design elements were chosen to create a sense of timelessness and continuity.
