Loft Les Corts.
Fifty square metres can seem like a limitation.
In this project, they become an opportunity.
The intervention begins with a ground-floor space with little natural light, an underused structure and a spiral staircase that restricted the way the apartment could be lived. The challenge was not only to improve the layout, but to create a new perception of space.
Every decision is aimed at gaining openness.
Indirect lighting, neutral tones and the presence of natural wood soften the architecture and introduce a calm warmth. The mezzanine, built in iron and wood, is painted white to visually integrate it into the whole and enhance the sense of brightness.
The home is organised through precision.
The open kitchen becomes part of the living area, with integrated storage solutions that free up space and bring order to everyday life. Custom-made furniture makes use of every corner without overwhelming the interior.
On the upper level, vinyl flooring provides acoustic comfort and resistance, reducing the sound of footsteps and adapting to daily use. On the lower level, smooth microcement creates visual continuity and reinforces the feeling of spaciousness.
Technology is also part of the project.
A rear-projection screen allows the space to be enjoyed from different points, while home automation introduces comfort and control without altering the loft’s clean aesthetic.
Nothing is treated as an isolated gesture.
Everything responds to the same intention: making a compact space work with ease, character and precision.
A loft designed to show that spaciousness is not always a matter of square metres.
