DIAGONAL MAR HOUSE

A fluid renovation with a Mediterranean air

A comprehensive renovation of the interior decor in a newly built house on Diagonal Mar, measuring 70 m2.

More space, amplitude, and warmth were created in this house, which previously lacked harmony. The visual barriers were eliminated and a multitude of superfluous elements were removed, creating straighter lines. It was impossible to eliminate some structural elements, and so these were hidden by panels.

For contrast between the straight and flowing lines, furniture with curved shapes was chosen for the space. Textiles with various lines were also carefully selected in order to infuse the space with warmth.

Different types of wood together with soft tones helped to unify the various environments throughout the house. The predominant colors are white, blue, and natural wood, which also helped to achieve a unified effect among the different spaces.
