An integral project of interior design in this house, located in an antique building in Sant Gervasi, with reconfiguration of spaces, renovated décor, and the installation of a home automation system.
The space was substantially redesigned by doing away with partitions in order to expand the interior area and remove part of the corridor. By doing this, it was possible to create a multi-use space and break the divisions within the apartment. To increase the natural light, the doors of the day area were replaced by classic French doors with glass windows. Additionally, neutral tones were chosen for the walls, the coverings, the furniture, and the textiles.
With the updated décor of the rooms, the structural elements of the floor acquired new prominence. We opted for furniture with straight lines that highlighted the continuity of the rooms and helped expand the space.
The project incorporated a home automation installation that comprised air conditioning and security systems, as well as automated lighting and blinds. An audiovisual room was created using a screen and a premier surround-sound audio system.
