BONANOVA DUPLEX

A very minimalist renovation project

An interior design renovation of a duplex located in the upper area of Barcelona. In this incredible house in the Bonanova, completely open and airy spaces were created.

In the kitchen area, sliding doors were introduced to allow for the flow of light and which promote the visibility of the space. We sought to use various materials in the flooring, which distinguished the different environments without losing visual communication between them.

The main material used throughout virtually the entire house is natural wood. However, different versions and tonalities were used in different areas. A touch of color was incorporated into the bathrooms, creating a lively and relaxed atmosphere. Indirect lighting was installed throughout the spaces, rendering the apartment more cozy and intimate.

The sleeping area on the second floor was connected to the first by a spiral staircase. Made with a very minimalist design, it evinces prominence due to its organic shape. In this way, perfectly incorporates into the space and facilitates a fluid visual connection between both floors,
