An interior design project to modernize the spaces and the decor in an outdated building from the 70s. For this house measuring 200 m2 in Pedralbes, the new owner wanted to redistribute the space.
A comprehensive project was undertaken, emphasizing a new homogeneous decorative style that was both sensible and masculine, according to the tastes of the client. To achieve this, the original closed floor plan was transformed by dismantling some walls and creating new visual openings.
The aesthetic was reinforced with the use of contrasting dark colors. The tonalities of the whole house are muted, such as ochre and earth tones. However, more lively colors were used in the children’s rooms, especially in the textiles.
The hardwood floors throughout the entire house tie together the classic design elements with the more modern ones. Furniture pieces of traditional origins were adapted to the new needs.
