Our summer favorites
At last, our beloved and desired summer has arrived with the air of a beach and vacation. As every season, we wanted to share with you our latest favorite products to welcome the good weather. These top five you can see them in some of our latest products or in other futures that are in process. Are you ready?
Our list starts with a piece that is as beautiful as it is comfortable. We present you the Pacha armchair, designed by the French artist Pierre Paulin in 1975 with a very groundbreaking style for the time. He sought to replace the austerity of post-war design with a new vigorous approach, obtaining an elegant element with rounded shapes and perfect proportions. Completely upholstered and with a revolving base, it was a pioneer armchair in the elimination of the legs of traditional chairs. As if it were a contemporary design of Gubi, this functional piece brings life and character to any home environment.
Another of the designs that are placed in this ranking is the Slinkie model carpet from the collection of CC Tapis designed by Patricia Urquiola, using a technique knotted by hand. Made in cotton and himalayan wool, its original curves and its sinuous colors allow it to receive all the prominence of the space. This new series is a design story that revolves around color, a succession of chromatic evolutions developed in a universe of organic forms. It is defined as a visual exercise destined to transform the intangible idea of shadow and tone into a sophisticated and finally produced product.
Another of our necessary is the Malmö cupboard, which is part of the new collection of designer Mario Ruiz for Punt Mobles. Described as a piece of soft wood curves along with other materials that gives eclectic prominence, it is an element that dresses every environment as well as including storage space. These designs, which fuse sophistication and versatility, combine the Scandinavian soul and the honest essence of materials with winks at modernity and contemporaneity. Its lightweight and at the same time compact aesthetics, has the option of choosing different materials that fit the personality you want to obtain.
In this list could not miss one of our favorite brands and iconic lighting pieces, Ingo Maurer. The Samurai lamp, designed jointly by Dagmar Mombach and Ingo Maurer and his team, is made of: paper, metal, stainless steel, glass and fiberglass. It is a piece that incorporates adjustable LED light, setting with a soft and warm lighting. With great sensitivity, this lamp exudes style and personality in any area where it is placed.
To finish with our top five, we will talk about an artisan brand that makes us fall in love every day more and of which we have the pleasure of being distributors in Barcelona. We are talking about Artisan and, specifically, its Mela upholstered armchair. As we have already commented in previous posts, the work carried out by these professionals with wood is fascinating. This design fits perfectly in most environments, where we could define it as a neutral and timeless element. Its ergonomic shape and its organic lines allow to obtain a comfort and comfort to its use.
We hope you have been inspired and that you have been able to know new pieces of design to incorporate in your spaces. See you next week with a new post in The Room Papers!
