Our fall favorites 2019

09.10.2019

After a hot and wonderful summer, we give way to the newcomer autumn. Following the tradition in The Room Papers, this season we also wanted to share our favorite pieces of the moment. Some of them you can see included in some of our latest projects and others you will see soon in those that we are finishing. We hope you like them and that these designs inspire you with such personality and character, are you ready?

Our top five begins with the Little Petra of the &Tradition brand, designed by Viggo Boesen in 2018. It was initially presented in the 1930s winning distinguished awards in Copenhagen, New York and Berlin. Distinguished by its organic aesthetics and its minimalist approach, this small armchair is able to adapt to any type of environment. Thanks to its size we can place it in any space, filling any type of area with naturalness and craftsmanship. In addition to its handmade handmade design, its comfortable backrest creates a feeling that embraces the user inviting him to stay.

Following our list of favorites, we want to highlight the Bond shelf designed by Main for the Fogia brand. Due to the need to obtain storage space from users, this design adapts to all types of requirements offering a fully flexible system. Thanks to its easy assembly and its clean aesthetics, this solid shelf can be assembled in seconds without the help of any tools. We can find it in different solid and natural woods, being able to obtain the shape of it that best suits the demand.

The Gent upholstered dining chair of the Gubi brand could not be missing on this list. Designed by the GamFratesi duo, this piece is characterized by the fusion of Scandinavian elegance and Italian dynamic lines. In addition, a singular detail is the integrated male backing that conveys character at the same time as the aesthetic ensemble wastes softness and comfort. This chair has a balance between formality and fantasy, offering a modern touch to the classic dining room seat. Its light and simple image without armrests allows it to adapt to any type of space and table.

As for the lighting of our fall favorites, there is the Tekiò Vertical lamp, designed by Anthony Dickens in 2017 for the firm Santa&Cole. It is an adaptation that fuses ancient artisanal techniques with Warm to Dim LED technology, which allows you to regulate light in intensity and color temperature. It is a very contemporary and unique design that seeks to create the contrast between the ancestral and the avant-garde, with very technical structures that are dressed with handmade paper. Tekiò was inspired by the traditional washi paper lantern and can be modulated creating both circular and linear shapes. Therefore, we can define it by its very resistant and ductile aesthetic capable of shaping and shading the light.

Finally, we finalize the list of the top five with the incredible Fogia Bollo armchair. It is a unique piece designed by Andreas Engesvil where the Scandinavian style with thin features and modest use of the materials is represented. Its ergonomic shape conveys a feeling of comfort unmatched where cushions with a very daring appearance have been included. The soft volumes extend to embrace the thin metal base, creating an interesting intersection between the base and its cushions.
