Gira Home automation at Casa Decor

30.03.2020

In this week’s post on Casa Decor we wanted to tell you about all those elements that we have used in home automation, specifically from the German brand Gira. In order to obtain the spectacular result that ‘Lost of Translation’ has left us, we have used various elements that have allowed us to create enveloping and unique atmospheres in the hotel room. A total integration of the home automation and audiovisual system controllable from any device was carried out, allowing different light scenes to be obtained depending on the time and use.

Different types of light are projected into the suite, allowing different enveloping and unique atmospheres designed for the comfort and tranquility of guests to be obtained. As we have commented, it is a space that brings calm and seeks timelessness. A suite where the most convenient environment is created to relax, adapting to the user’s mood, who can control the Gira home automation system in a very simple way and make their experience unique and special.

Below we will discuss in more detail each of the systems that have been integrated into the design:

  • G1 Gira. It is the smart control panel for controlling room technology. You can find the screen on the wall where the Inkiostro Bianco decorative paper has been placed and that integrates perfectly with the rest of the environment. Thanks to its clear multi-touch screen, all functions can be controlled comfortably with the finger or gestures. From lighting and curtains, through setting the ambient temperature and online weather forecast, to intercom. In ‘Lost in Translation’ we have created different predetermined scenes that adjust to the guest and where all the commented elements are regulated, such as: Good morning, Reading or Good night.

  • X1 System. The above is complemented by the new X1 system of the German brand, an intelligent room control with the application. This allows existing mobile devices to be converted into comfortable control for all the elements that make up the suite. The intuitive interface allows the visualization of the installation and makes its functions available to us. In addition, the home page is customized to suit our needs. The application is compatible for any mobile device and is free.

  • Gira 3 Touch Sensor. These switches also contain the default scenes created for the guest. These sensors comfortably control all the previously ordered functions at the touch of a button. At the same time, its handling is adapted to the user’s needs.

  • Plug&Light. This design is found both on the head of the bed as a reading light and as signage on the windows of the suite. It is an open design that offers controllable light from the socket base. It is a fixed interface that combines lighting control with power. It allows from the regulation of the intensity to the regulation of the warmth of the light. The light surface modules can be easily and safely mounted and exchanged.

Finally, this German system has allowed us to integrate Alexa. This has given us the ease of being able to change the scenes or adapt the suite to the comforts of the guest by means of the voice.

With this we want to share the comfort and tranquility provided by the use of home automation in any medium and, in this case, the guest adjusting to it at all times. In addition, we must not forget the energy and economic savings that these systems represent, since it allows us to obtain exactly what is necessary at all times and makes the room much more sustainable. We hope you liked it, happy week!
