How to insert the Pantone’s Color?

07.02.2018

Every year Pantone proposes the color that will be a trend for many brands that will base theirs designs on this election as their reference. The color chosen for this 2018 has been the ultra violet; a dramatic and cosmic color which attracts the mind and philosophy. It is a risky tone in its essence that inspires creativity and imagination, a tone that you can feel and live. The ultra violet transmits personality and presence when is incorporated into some ambient and environment. This color is a great reference for meditation and stimulation; we can see it in many places of relaxation and retirement.

The Pantone 2018 has become much more than a trend, it has become in a way to focus on the design and how to represent it. Thun, in this post we want to give an example of how we can introduce it in our homes without denoting extravagance or eccentricity. Being a color with a lot of presence, the ideal thing would be to add it complementing elements of this color with other more neutrals. This is an easy way to give them leadership through textiles, rugs or poufs contributing to create contrast in the space, chairs with color in plain dining rooms, vitality in colorful yards.

A good space to work this color with trust would be a kid´s room, a place with a lot of vitality and positive vibrations. As we have mentioned before, it is a color that stimulates the creativity and imagination; an important data for the children´s development phase. Complements such a baskets, vases or pots become the strong point in warm environments and homes. They can be a good choice to complete interior or exterior areas with seasonal flowers like lobelia, jacaranda and roses; and others dry ones contributing lightness and harmony.

In The Room Studio, art pieces are elements that we like to introduce in each project, giving them presence and character. The choice of color to these pieces usually is going to risky and deep colors that help to transmit the feelings to the limit.

We close this post inspiring the passionate about interior design and decoration to risk without fear, to make changes, to introduce crazy elements, to be daring and never doubt. Trust in yourself and in your own criterion. Enjoy the week!
