Interior Design: The dialogue of space

16.10.2019

In this week’s post we will talk about the basis of any project, the initial phase on which the rest of the space design will depend. It is about the distribution of spaces, how to make the most of each corner and optimize the functionality of the house.

To start with the organization of the areas, an initial approach must be made thinking about the basic requirements that the housing must have. Depending on the needs of the owners, the proposal will be based on making it more comfortable and adequate on a day-to-day basis, taking into account the existing elements that are to be maintained. The ideal arrangement of spaces is the one that adjusts to the inhabitants and adapts to the changes, taking into account the strengths of the house to stand out and taking advantage of the light and ventilation steps. We always look for open and functional areas that allow the connection and fluidity between the rooms, creating a fluid and coherent dialogue.

For the day zone, The Room Studio seeks to create rooms that include all family members by making them partakers of the scene. In turn, the passage of light is optimized with the help of kitchen designs open to the rest of the dining room and living room. In the connection between the day and night zones, long sections of the corridor should be avoided, trying to merge the rooms creating functional passage areas such as work spaces, playground or reading area.

In the night area privacy is sought, so the main rooms should be places that include the necessary elements such as: bedroom, dressing room and bathroom area, with simple circulations and elements that do not interfere. If you have young children at home, the areas for them should be versatile, flexible and adaptable to their growth. Bedrooms connected to game rooms or shared rooms are the most recreated, so that they have their own space where creativity flows.

Below, you can see a selection of images in which the design has followed the premises discussed. The needs of the clients are always taken into account, creating cozy and warm atmospheres. Have a happy week!
