Tips for choosing the perfect coffee table

13.03.2019

We are very close to spring! In this week’s post we wanted to talk about one of our favorite pieces, the coffee tables. As the flower season is coming, we are going to give you some tips to choose the best choice to decorate your living room.

These elements are a basic element in our home and occupy a leading role in these areas. To begin, we must take into account the direction of the style of our house, in addition to the total space of the room and its distribution. Once we have all these steps clear and the rest of the living room furniture, we move on to the choice of the coffee table.

It is essential to take into account the use of the table, which objects will be placed on top and whether it will be a more decorative piece or from day to day. The space that surrounds us is fundamental because we can use it in a way that serves to lighten the decoration of the room or to give it more presence.

In The Room Studio we like to create a nice corner together with two pieces of sofas or combining a sofa with armchairs and playing with the contrasts. Therefore, the table should be aligned with the seats we choose. It is necessary to leave a rational space between the table and the seats, leaving a good passage area.

Since it is an important object, it is preferable to opt for timeless designs. Its height should not be higher than the seats of the sofa or very low, it should be a height where we can have a good body posture.

We can decide that, if at any time we use that space for another use, we can choose a table with easy to move wheels. Regarding the shape, we can find some basic as rectangular, square or round, or other more complex. They can also be combined playing with heights and sizes. If all the furniture in our living room is square, it does not mean that our coffee table should be square. Playing to break with the lines will help to balance your house and not look so measured.

Our favorite material is wood, we always try to choose natural materials. This type of materials add comfort and warmth to your home, as it makes it more cozy. If we want to create a non-recharged room, we can rely on the use of crystals or fine metals, materials that do not seem so solid. We will be based on tables where there is more visibility through them and that are as a decorative and functional element.

The color will also greatly influence the design of the room, we must choose one that is integrated with the rest of the elements and that is not very striking. We must choose the table based on their materials and their shape and, in addition, for its functionality and practicality. We must create a harmony between all the elements that allow to maintain a balanced dialogue.

We hope that it has helped you in your selection and we leave you some images below to finish inspiring you. Have a great week!
