Before and after: Pau Alcover Penthouse

08.04.2021

A penthouse in the Bonanova neighbourhood? This is Pau Alcover, a 320 m2 project that revolves around the outdoor spaces that run around its entire perimeter. A luxury home in the heart of Barcelona’s city centre where avant-garde and contemporary spaces have been created, as well as accommodating its 120 m2 of terrace.

We started with a premise that was very well defined by the Clients: <<The colour blue had to be present in every room>>. Therefore, the aesthetic change of this penthouse is forceful as all the walls of the house have been covered in linen and cotton paper as well as with wooden panelling. Oak wood is used by reference as a common thread in all the spaces, as well as the chromatic palette of blues.

The existing layout of the house was maintained as it was generally adapted to the needs of the Owners. Minimal interventions were carried out in order to obtain more diaphanous and ample spaces, avoiding their separation.
